The Buriti oil Virgin and unrefined oil, comes from Maurithia vinifera or M. flexuosa which is a Palm Tree from North and Cerrado bioma in Brazil; its season is from December to April.
The pulp is extremely rich in fatty acids and carotenoids, high concentration of beta-carotene exceeding 20times of carrot.
The beta carotene is one of the most powerful antioxidants, known for its large capacity for cell renewal. Also it is very rich in oleic acid (72,5%); It is highly beneficial in formulations intended for after-sun skin care.
